If you’re like me, you’ve been getting a lot of mail from your bank and credit cards lately. That’s because the new banking/credit card rules go into effect February 22, 2010. What does this mean? Well, it means how banks get their fees out of you will be different, but never fear, they WILL get their fees. I haven’t read everything I’ve received as of yet, but I just read one thing that’s going to make me speed up my timetable to change banks.
I went in to check my bank balance today and pay a few bills. I noticed that I had an email message from the bank. I bank with National City Bank who is soon going to be taken over by PNC Bank. What this lovely little email let me know was that I will no longer be able to set up future payments to my credit cards. WTH???
